Whilst doing a little bit of internet shopping late one night, I realised Rockett St George had a few new bits and pieces and thought it only right to share my findings with you. The on-line homeware boutique have a great collection of quirky, vintage and unusual items and the newbies don't disappoint. They've got some stunning new wallpaper, art prints and lots of new accessories.
For me, the star of the show is the new tile-effect wallpaper. Thanks to Atlanta Bartlett's book 'Pale & Interesting' and various design blogs, the original decorative ceiling tiles have had a boost of popularity and are the latest 'must have' decorative item. They can be used singularly, as a piece of art, or collectively as a feature wall/ceiling. Due to the vintage nature of the tiles (most have been reclaimed from factories) they can end up being quite expensive. However, Rockett St George, in collaboration with legendary Paris boutique Merci, have produced some wallpapers mimicking the ceiling tile and they look absolutely fantastic! The wallpapers have been produced in seven different colours and all have an aged, worn look to them to add to the authenticity. Here are my favourite two:
I've only shown two here but if this is your sort of thing do have a look at the other designs on their website as they are a great alternative to the real thing.
This striking art print also caught my eye from the new range. Hand drawn in pencil by artist Adrian Sykes 'Some Kind of London' captures a lovely panoramic view of the metropolis and would create an interesting focal point for any room.
Finally, this pretty lady also caught my attention. I think she'd make the most brilliant necklace keeper, don't you?
I hope you like the new collection as much as I do, there's plenty more lovely bits and bobs to have a peek at, just follow the link! Have a great weekend! -Laura.
