Kathryn Sharman

Kathryn Sharman

Kathryn Sharman is a freelance journalist and copywriter, specialising in fashion, design and retail.

Having lived in London for more than a decade, she has now settled back in her home town of Harrogate in North Yorkshire. She will often be found rummaging in charity shops and, as a thrifty northerner, was doing this long before it became fashionable. While she's no stranger to the great British high street, she is also a devotee of all things hand-made and second-hand, vintage and retro.

She can be found over at Kat got the Cream (www.katgotthecream.blogspot.com) where she blogs about second-hand finds and thrifted outfits, tea pots and granny plates and the ceaseless search for the perfect pair of vintage curtains.

Sarah - Founder of Natural History

Sarah - Founder of Natural History

Sarah comes from Dublin and moved to Oxford with her husband two years ago to do a PhD on medieval poetry. Somewhere along the way a daughter and rather dramatic change of professional direction happened, leaving her running Natural History and taking an almost unhealthy interest in nesting and design.

You can email her at sarah[at]origin-of-style.com

Lisa Murdoch

Lisa Murdoch

Lisa is a blogger, crafter and flea market obsessive who lives in Yorkshire. She is partial to a nice pair of brogues, her trusty camera, old movies and a cup of tea (milk and one sugar if you're making) and can be found over at Mathilde heart Manech (www.mathildeheartmanech.wordpress.com); a blog for crafters, dreamers and optimists!

She is thrilled to be a part of the Natural History blog and will be contributing weekly with vintage and modern curios that inspire.

Meagan

Meagan

Meagan is an old fashioned dame at heart who spends her days living in the present by blogging about home decor and design obsessively.

Originally from Toronto, Canada, she always knew she would end up in Ireland at some point as she was destined with a mother from Donegal and a charming boyfriend from Belfast. She loves anything with a story, dogs {especially beagles!), a good cup of coffee and the colour teal.

Her regular home is over at the Row House Nest - http://rowhousenest.com/ - but she will be contributing regularly to our blog and is excited to be involved as we grow and expand.

Tara

Tara

Tara formerly worked at Freuds and the BBC as a PR director, but saw a chink of light and escaped London for the Oxfordshire countryside with her husband and two young daughters. She has pursued her real passion for interiors, and is now a qualified designer, as well as a stylist and blogger. And a mum, of course.

Gaelle

Gaelle

My name is Gaelle, and it's spelt à la Française as I was born in Dijon, Burgundy. I moved to London when I was 18 for a 'year out' that quickly turned out to be '12 years later...'.

So here I am, calling North London 'home' and savouring every minute of it.

I'm a newcomer to the blogging world and started my own compilation of experiences and inspirations on Nice Day For A Sulk ( http://niceday4asulk.wordpress.com ) a few months ago.

Blogging is the perfect solution for my compulsion to get things organised: a neat and pretty platform where I can order my thoughts coherently suits me much better than hastily scribbled notes on loose scraps of paper.

So you'll find me here talking about all things nature-related with regular updates on my progress in my recently acquired garden –where I have everything to learn–, as well as other botanical wonders this world has to offer.

I recommend a cup of fresh mint tea to accompany the read, or a mug of strong milky coffee if you must.

Clare

Clare

Clare Kelly is a freelance journalist and photographer who loves writing about making and sharing her finds on Pass the Pattern (www.passthepattern.tumblr.com); a blog she founded in 2010.

Often found in charity shops and recycling centres, she is a collector with a penchant for long forgotten items. Clare is passionate about championing creative talent and is looking forward to excavating some hidden gems for you all on Natural History's blog.

Hannah

Hannah

I'm Hannah, a North Londoner living in South London, and I love interiors. I'm really excited to be part of the Natural History blog.

I started my own blog, Dwell Wishes, early in 2011 as a way to indulge my passion for writing and my love of interiors. It's growing slowly but surely and I find it a great way of collecting things - if I can't own them all in real life at least I can keep them in my blog!

I'm going to write about design history, looking at a different style tradition, heritage or icon each week. I hope you enjoy reading it - please let us know what you think!

Laura Blanksby

Laura Blanksby

Hi, I'm Laura and I'm a self confessed shopaholic. Not just like any shopping though, no, homeware shopping is where my passion lies. I love finding new products for my home, discovering the latest trends and grabbing a bargain. Aside from hitting the shops I also love reading a good book with a cup of tea in the afternoon, my cat Ruby and 90's music. Oh yes.

I regularly write for High street Home, a blog I began in January this year to showcase all my finds and share interiors inspiration. I am excited to begin a new venture writing for the Natural History blog. Tune in on Fridays to see my shopping finds of the week!

Claire

Claire

She's a primary school teacher by day, a profession she regards as a privilege to be involved in, and enjoys all things creative. As well as teaching, Claire is a freelance writer.
