We all know and love the breakthrough design of the Plumen light bulb, but did you know the designer behind it has a portfolio of other great designs? I came across the Hoof tables by the London-based designer Samuel Wilkinson whilst browsing the Deezen website and bookmarked them straight away, not only because I fell in love with them, but I also thought you guys would like to see them too.
The tables are made from solid oak and have sharpened legs which resemble how a horses hoof is trimmed, hence the name 'Hoof'. The table comes in two sizes and five colourways.
The sharpened legs give the product an edgy, almost un-finished look which I think gives the product an industrial feel.
Other great designs in Samuel Wilkinson's portfolio include the Pendola clock, Rock chair and Biome, the high-tech terrarium. Check out his website for current projects. -Laura.

they look a bit like pencils to me. But I get what you say about being industrial. If they are solid oak you will get a bit of a surpise whaen you try and lift one up.
