Surrey-based designer Eloise Grey (pictured, above) specialises in ethical clothing which is built to last – a million miles away from the throwaway society we are encouraged (at times) to be part of.
With a focus on organic Scottish tweeds, Eloise works with Ardalanish – Isle of Mull Weavers with each garment then being made in the UK by a small scale manufacturer and tailor called Neil Aslan. So close is Eloise to her brand that each stage of the process is conducted as ethically as possible – something that has won her fans – not only in the UK but around the world.
As someone who owns own of Eloise's jackets, I can testify to this quality and each time I wear it, people always remark on how fitted and beautiful it is. If you've never considered tweed (or even dismissed it) perhaps it is time to reconsider? Pictured below is Eloise's de Beauvoir jacket in cream and fawn Herringbone Tweed – perfect for both casual and formal occassions.
And for men, there is the Organic Silver Herringbone Jacket – lined with blue hand-loom organic cotton.
If you care about the provenance of the garments you purchase then let this be just two reasons why you'll want to discover Eloise Grey for yourself.
